This policy explains what information we collect when you use MyCopyPal and MyCopyPal (MyCopyPal Content Engine), why we collect it, and what we do with it. If anything is unclear, email us at toni@mycopypal.com.
Antonia Heater trading as MyCopyPal ("MyCopyPal", "we", "us") is the data controller for any personal data collected through mycopypal.com and the MyCopyPal platform.
When you sign up, we collect your name and email address. We use these to create your account and contact you about your subscription.
MyCopyPal asks you a series of questions about your business, your clients, your writing style, and your goals. This includes things like what you do, who you help, your tone of voice preferences, client results, and words you want us to use or avoid. You provide this voluntarily to help us generate better content for you. This information is stored on your account and used solely to personalise what we create for you.
We store the content MyCopyPal generates for you, along with any edits you make and performance data you choose to log (such as impressions and engagement figures from your LinkedIn posts). This lets us improve our suggestions over time and helps the engine learn your preferences.
We collect basic information about how you use the platform — which screens you visit, when you generate content, and which features you use. This helps us understand what's working and improve the product. We do not use this data to build advertising profiles.
If you subscribe to a paid plan, your payment is processed by Lemon Squeezy, who acts as the merchant of record and handles payments, billing, and refunds on our behalf. We do not store your full card details. We receive a record of your subscription status and billing history.
When you send us a message through the contact widget on our website or inside MyCopyPal portal, we collect your name, email address, and the contents of your message. If you're signed in, we also record your account ID, the screen you contacted us from, and your plan so we can help you faster. If you attach screenshots inside the portal, those images are sent to us as email attachments. We use this information solely to respond to your enquiry and to keep an internal record of support requests. We retain this data for up to 24 months for support history and quality purposes, then delete it. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in providing customer support.
If you choose to leave us a review at /leave-a-review (or via the /share-your-thoughts page), we collect your name, email address, role, company, persona, the review itself, your star rating, and any optional Loom or YouTube link you paste. Submitting a review requires you to tick a consent box confirming you're happy for MyCopyPal to use it publicly. You can also tick a separate box asking us to keep the review anonymous, in which case we display your role and persona only, never your name or company. The lawful basis for processing your review is consent. We retain reviews for as long as we display them; if you'd like us to remove yours at any time, email toni@mycopypal.com and we'll take it down within 30 days.
If you subscribe to our Done-For-You plan, a member of the MyCopyPal team will access your portal to generate content on your behalf. This means we will view your intake answers, voice profile, content history, and any other information you've provided through the portal. We use this information solely to create your monthly content. By subscribing to the Done-For-You plan, you consent to this access.
If you opt into scheduling, we publish your posts on your behalf through our scheduling partner (Zernio). You authorise your LinkedIn account once via a secure link, so we never receive or store your LinkedIn password or any other social login.
We use cookies to ensure our website functions correctly and to track affiliate referrals. Our affiliate tracking cookie is set when you visit our website via an affiliate referral link. This cookie is stored in your browser for up to 60 days and is used solely to attribute your signup to the referring affiliate. It does not track your browsing activity on other websites. You can manage or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time.
We may collect and use anonymised, aggregated data from your use of MyCopyPal, including performance metrics, content statistics, and user-submitted wins, for marketing, research, and promotional purposes. This data is always anonymised and aggregated. It will never be attributable to you as an individual, and we will never use your name, company name, or other identifying information in our marketing without your explicit consent.
We use the information we hold about you to:
We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising purposes. We do not use your content to train AI models.
We may analyse aggregated, anonymised usage data — including patterns in the content our users generate, how they edit it, and how it performs — to improve our service and inform our marketing. Examples include content like "what I learned from analysing 5,000 LinkedIn posts." We never identify individual users, their businesses, or specific posts in this kind of analysis. If you would prefer your data be excluded from this kind of aggregate analysis, email us at toni@mycopypal.com.
Under UK GDPR, we need a lawful basis for using your personal data. Depending on the context, we rely on:
We use a small number of third-party services to run MyCopyPal. Each of these is a data processor acting on our behalf.
When you generate content, your intake information and any additional context you've provided is sent to Anthropic's API to produce the output. Anthropic processes this data on our behalf and does not use API inputs to train its models. Anthropic is based in the United States.

Your account information and all data stored in MyCopyPal is held in a Supabase database. Supabase is based in the United States.
Supabase privacy policy: supabase.com/privacy
If you take out a paid subscription, your payment is processed by Lemon Squeezy. Lemon Squeezy is the merchant of record and handles your card details, billing, and refunds on our behalf. Lemon Squeezy is based in the United States.

Our website and application are hosted on Vercel. Vercel is based in the United States.

When you send us a message through the contact widget on our website or inside MyCopyPal portal, the contents of that message (your name, email address, message text, and any screenshots you attach) are sent through Resend so we receive your enquiry by email. Resend processes this data on our behalf solely to deliver the email. Resend is based in the United States.
Resend privacy policy: resend.com/legal/privacy-policy
We use Zapier to trigger automated sequences when you sign up for a trial. Zapier handles basic account information to do this. Zapier is based in the United States.
When you sign up, we pass your email address to ReverseContact to identify your LinkedIn profile. This allows us to send you a personalised connection request and onboarding messages on LinkedIn. ReverseContact receives your email address for this purpose only. ReverseContact is based in France.
ReverseContact privacy policy: reversecontact.com/privacy-policy
When you sign up, we may send you a connection request and a small number of direct messages on LinkedIn via Botdog, a LinkedIn automation tool. Botdog receives your LinkedIn profile URL and name to deliver these messages. It does not receive your email address. We will not contact you on LinkedIn beyond the initial trial onboarding sequence without your consent.
If you connect your LinkedIn account to schedule or publish posts (on the Pro plan, or with scheduling on the Done-For-You plan), we use Zernio to publish on your behalf. When you connect, Zernio holds the LinkedIn authorisation token that lets it post as you. We never see or store your LinkedIn password or that token; it lives with Zernio. We store only the identifiers Zernio gives us for your connected account so we can send the right post to the right place. When you publish or schedule a post, the post content and any media (images) you attach are sent to Zernio so it can post or queue it. You can disconnect at any time, which revokes Zernio's access to your LinkedIn account.
Zernio is based outside the United Kingdom; where your data is transferred to it, the safeguards described in section 6 apply. Zernio privacy policy: zernio.com/privacy
Several of our third-party processors are based in the United States. Where your data is transferred to them, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place — typically Standard Contractual Clauses approved under UK GDPR. If you'd like more information, email toni@mycopypal.com.
Active accounts: We keep your data for as long as your account is active.
£5 trial accounts: If you take the £5 trial and don't subscribe before your 30-day trial window ends, your account and all of its content (generated posts, intake answers, voice profile, calendar and content bank) are permanently deleted at the end of that window. We email you reminders before this happens so you can save your work or subscribe to keep it.
After account deletion: If you delete your account, we delete your personal information within 30 days. Generated content and intake answers are deleted at the same time. We may retain anonymised, aggregated data that cannot be linked back to you.
Financial records: We are required to keep records of financial transactions for 7 years to comply with UK tax law. This affects billing records only, not your content or intake information.
Inactive trial accounts: If you create an account but never generate any content and your trial expires, we will delete your account data within 90 days of inactivity.
Under UK GDPR, you have the following rights. Email toni@mycopypal.com to exercise any of them. We will respond within 30 days.
You also have the right to complain to the UK's Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
We use a small number of cookies to keep you logged in and make the platform work. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
MyCopyPal is intended for use by businesses and professionals. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under the age of 18.
We'll notify you of any significant changes by email and by posting a notice on the platform. The date at the top of this page always reflects when it was last updated.
